Defeat or run past the hammer knight, then use the teleporter behind him. Ascend two flights of stairs then take a left at the giant golden button. Now return to the giant staircase that was originally guarded by the red knights. Defeat them, then look for the chest underneath the rock overhang that stretches over this side of the room. Then head towards the red knight and crossbow knight further back from the torch. Approach and activate the second torch, and be sure to grab the Hammer and Chisel upgrade, Petrified Censer, off the ground behind it. In this case, kill all four crossbow knights, using the pillars as shields from the others, then lure out the hammer knight to clear the area. They have low health and can easily be killed once you create that opening, just be aware they occasionally hop backwards when approached, and have a melee attack they will resort to when you are close. If you see it coming simply harden and wait out the third shot, then run in and jump attack to stagger them. Once they lock onto you they fire three bolts, and almost never miss even if you are running. These crossbow knights are possibly the most annoying enemy in the game. This torch is guarded by four crossbow knights and one hammer knight. Kill or run away from them, just beware their area of effect rock attack which will instantly knock you down.įrom this torch you want to take a left, then run around the large pillar where you will see a second torch on a platform in the middle of a large hole. Interact with this torch to activate it, which will cause some phantoms to spawn around you. With the red knights taken care of, head down the stairs and towards the torch that sits in the middle of the room. If you have resolve for a weapon skill it is worth it to deal with him more quickly. To avoid this simply press the dodge button to step backward, then punish after the third slam. If you stand directly in front of him he will raise the hammer in front of him and slam it down three times. His other attacks are highly telegraphed overhead slams, which can be sidestepped with ease. Because this attack can be hard to read I recommend always hardening for his first attack. His most dangerous attack is his jab knockdown, which almost always results in getting hammer slammed for massive damage. He is one of the most dangerous enemies in the game, easily able to combo most Shells to death in one attack. Grab the Weltcaps in the middle of this large room, then head down the hall where you will be faced by a new enemy, the hammer knight. This temple is a gauntlet, so get as geared up as possible. If you have any Quenching Acid to use there is an Anvil you can use to upgrade your weapon. Upon entering Eternal Narthex run to the left and awaken the Sester to set your revive point, then use the book to battle Hadern and get the Hammer and Chisel if you haven’t already done so. We recommend you come stocked with as many Weltcaps and Roasted Rats as possible, as well as a fully upgraded weapon.īecause this temple is so large I will be dedicating this page to the Critical Path, highlighting only the most important items and locations. It is the largest temple with the most confusing layout, contains the toughest enemies, and the hardest boss. We recommend that you do the Seat of Infinity last, after the other temples.
